Angry Chelsea Fans Confronts Todd Boehly Following Brighton Defeat At Stamford Bridge

Chelsea owner, Todd Boehly was confronted by angry fans during the defeat to Brighton at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.
Chelsea suffered a disappointing 2-1 defeat at the hands of Brighton in their latest Premier League fixture. Despite Conor Gallagher giving the visitors the lead in the first half, Brighton managed to level the scoreline before the half-time break thanks to Danny Welbeck’s well-placed header.
After the restart, Brighton under the guidance of manager Roberto De Zerbi, upped their game and missed several chances before Julio Enciso scored a sensational long-range effort that clinched the win for the Seagulls.

In the stands, Chelsea co-owner Todd Boehly had a bird’s eye view of his team’s 12th Premier League loss of the season. The result was met with frustration from Chelsea supporters, who expressed their disappointment towards Boehly following the final whistle.
Speaking after Chelsea’s latest defeat which has left them 11th in the Premier League and without a win in six games, Lampard conceded that Brighton deserved their victory at Stamford Bridge.
‘I’m disappointed on every level,’ Lampard told BBC Sport.
‘The better team won. They could have won by more. They played like a team. They’ve been together a long time.
‘Not good enough. All the basic parts of football – to fight, to run – we were short on. Not a question of commitment as such. We have a big game on Tuesday [against Real Madrid]. There’s no point being too down but we have to understand why today went the way it did.
‘Some players physically couldn’t be able to play Wednesday, Saturday, Tuesday. Some of those changes were forced and some were opportunities. In a modern day squad you have to be ready to come in.
‘As a team we were short today. Where can we get better quickly? For me it’s the football basics.
‘”‘In football a story can change very quickly. Real Madrid in the Champions League is the pinnacle of football. There’s things I’ll say to the players that I’ll keep in house. Chelsea fans will be coming on Tuesday to see a team give everything to turn it round and that’s what we have to do.’
