All You Need To Know About Alex Baena Who Is A Target For Arsenal, Chelsea, Man City, And Liverpool 

Reports have it that Premier League leaders, Arsenal are reportedly eyeing up a move for Villarreal winger Alex Baena as a possible alternative to  Mudryk.

It has been claimed that Mudryk’s price tag of £44.6million is too high for the Gunners leading them to look at Baena instead.

Infoexpert24  understands that Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta is keeping tabs on his Spanish compatriot Baena after his stunning start to the season.

Back from his loan at Girona, Baena, 21, is Villarreal’s top scorer with six goals in ten games in all competitions, while he has also chipped in with two assists.

His stats are even more impressive considering he is yet to start in LaLiga this term, with his three top-flight goals all coming off the bench.

Averaging a goal every 63 minutes, only Barcelona marksman Robert Lewandowski boasts better scoring statistics so far this term.

The Yellow Submarine academy graduate is available for £31m due to the release clause in his contract.

Villarreal is desperate to avoid losing the player and is planning to open talks to extend his stay beyond 2025. Baena has played in every one of the team’s six Primera División games in 2022/2023 and accumulated 189 minutes of playing time, with each one of these appearances as a substitute.

The 2- year-old last appeared in the competition on September 18 for Villarreal against Sevilla. In that game, the Spanish player scored for his side in their 1-1 draw.

The midfielder has scored three goals this Primera División campaign, which ranks him joint fifth overall in this category in 2022/2023, while also making him the top league scorer for his side. He has been shown two yellow cards.

In last season’s Segunda División, Baena played in 42 games for Girona, scored five goals, and provided six assists.

Baena returned to Villarreal in July 2022 after a loan spell at Villarreal II, for whom he made 23 league appearances in total.

The midfielder debuted in a Primera División fixture for Villarreal on July 13, 2020, as a substitute against Real Sociedad at the age of 18 years and 358 days. In his Primera División career overall, he has played 13 times in the competition, with three goals and he is yet to assist a team-mate.
