Mixed reactions trail Niger Delta militants’ threat to attack Lagos/Abuja

Some Niger Delta militants surfaced in a video recently on the marginalisation of the region and the failure of the Federal Government to deliver the promises made to them on the amnesty programme. The viral video was posted by AIT and the fighters, who had dropped their numerous arms for more than 5 years, had threatened to attack Lagos and Abuja if their demands are not met.
What were they complaining about? They lamented on how there are no accessible road, hospitals, schools for the children, light nor is there water for the people to use and enjoy from the day they signed the amnesty pact and dropped their arms. There was also the issue of the Ogoni cleanup project, a recurring issue which has been impacting negatively on the lands and water channels.
Following this, some concerned Nigerians voiced their opinions on the issue. Here are some comments gathered on the matter from Twitter:
What do you think about their demands? Do you think it holds any merit? Should the people of Lagos and Abuja be scared at the threat posed by their arrival at the aforementioned states? What should the government response be to all these? So many questions to be answered.
