Manchester City‘s manager, Pep Guardiola has expressed his belief that Arsenal will secure victories in all their remaining games as they continue to compete with City for the Premier League title.

Currently, City holds a slim one-point lead over Arsenal at the top of the table, with the crucial advantage of having a game in hand.

City is aiming to secure their fifth title in six seasons, while Arsenal had led the title race for a significant portion of the campaign.

However, Arsenal’s aspirations took a hit in April with draws against Liverpool, West Ham, and Southampton, followed by a 4-1 defeat against City at the Etihad.

Despite this setback, Arsenal responded strongly registering wins against Chelsea and Newcastle to keep the pressure on City, who also have to navigate a Champions League semi-final against Real Madrid.

In a pre-match press conference, Guardiola expressed his expectation that Arsenal will maintain their momentum until the end of the season.

He stated, “I think definitely they are going to win their three games. I would like them to drop points to be honest, but I think they will get nine points. There are four games left in the Premier League, and it’s really important to be there and keep our destiny in our hands.”

Arsenal’s remaining fixtures include a home game against Brighton, an away trip to Nottingham Forest, and a final home match against Wolves.

On the other hand, City will face Everton away, followed by a home game against Chelsea, and then away fixtures against Brighton and Brentford.

However, City’s focus extends beyond the Premier League, as they must also contend with the second leg of their Champions League semi-final against Real Madrid and the upcoming FA Cup final against Manchester United, just five days after the conclusion of the league campaign.

Guardiola emphasized the challenge awaiting City at Goodison Park, where they will face Everton. Guardiola acknowledged Everton’s recent stunning 5-1 victory against Brighton, which has boosted their chances of avoiding relegation.

He commented, “Brighton is one of the toughest places to go, and it was a big impact on Everton’s mood. In the last games, everyone plays for something, and it will be tough.

It can happen. They scored the first goal in the first minute, a surprise for the two early goals. The physicality Everton have is really, really good. Anything can happen.”

With the title race reaching its climax, both Arsenal and City face challenging matches and high stakes, making for an exciting end to the Premier League season.
