Pele is a Brazilian legendary professional football player who is widely regarded as one of the greatest soccer players of all time.
He was born Edson Arantes do Nascimento on October 23, 1940, in Três Corações, Brazil. Pelé began playing professional soccer at the age of 15, and quickly became known for his exceptional skill and scoring ability.
During his career, Pelé played for several teams, including Santos FC in Brazil and the New York Cosmos in the United States. He is perhaps best known for his time with the Brazilian national team, for which he played in four World Cups and won three (1958, 1962, and 1970).
Pelé is the all-time leading scorer for the Brazilian national team, with 77 goals in 92 appearances.
