Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United In The Race For Iheanacho

Premier League giants, Arsenal and Manchester United are set to rival Chelsea for the signing of Licester City striker, Kelechi Iheanacho.

According to a report by Spanish outlet Fichajes, Kelechi Iheanacho is starting to become a hot property in the market ahead of the summer transfer window as he has scored 11 goals in his last eight games.

The 24-year-old Nigerian is in the best form of his career right now and soon has become every coach target and one name being considered by Tuchel at Stamford Bridge should the west London club miss out on signing Borussia Dortmund’s Erling Haaland this summer transfer window.

Tuchel is impressed with the talents of the Nigerian international, who is one of the most in-form strikers in England currently.

The report added that Tuchel is not the biggest fan of Chelsea striker, Tammy Abraham, with the ex-PSG manager leaving the England international out of Chelsea’s starting XI a few times in recent weeks.

Arsenal continue to be in a transitional state, as Mikel Arteta looks to shape the squad in his image. The Gunners are in a precarious position over the future of Alexandre Lacazette as well, while it has also been rumoured that captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang could be offloaded this summer. As a result, it is prudent for Arsenal to be in the market for a striker, making Iheanacho a viable target.

Meanwhile, Manchester United could be set to prepare for life after Edinson Cavani, who has been heavily linked with a move to Boca Juniors. In addition, question marks loom over the future of Anthony Martial as well and to that end, it is not hard to see why Manchester United could be in the market for a striker, with Andre Silva one of their targets, apart from Iheanacho.

What now remains to be seen is if Arsenal, Chelsea or Manchester United can make any headway if they choose to launch the offensive for Iheanacho.

For now, it looks like the 24-year-old is one of the options being considered by the three Premier League heavyweights for a summer move.
