2023: Presidency Reacts To Buhari’s Alleged 3rd Term Agenda

Garba Shehu, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, has reacted to Buhari’s alleged 3rd term agenda, stated that his principal, President Muhammadu Buhari is not interested in running for a third term in 2023.
Garba Shehu during an interview on Arise TV on Tuesday May 26, noted that despite the burning of INEC buildings in parts of the country, the next general elections will surely be held.
He noted:
“It is very disturbing that INEC and police offices are being set ablaze in parts of the country by anarchists. I believe the law enforcement agents are sufficient enough to deal with them.
“Does anybody want to stop election in 2023? President Buhari is not interested in third term; he is not cut out for that. So, there will be election in 2023 and we will get there, God willing.”
Unknown gunmen have been attacking police stations and burning down offices of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC. This has led to widespread rumours that certain political interests are keen on making sure that 2023 general elections don’t hold.
