Premier League club, Leicester City has nominated four goals scored by Kelechi Iheanacho for the goal of the month award, the club announced via their official website.
The Super Eagles striker was in a good form scoring five Premier League goals in March. The 24-year-old dominates the 10-goal shortlist as his efforts against Burnley, Brighton & Hove Albion and two strikes against Sheffield United are up for the monthly accolade.
On March 3, the Nigerian striker volleyed the ball first time into the net following a chip from Wilfred Ndidi – from the center circle. The goal earned a point for Leicester City at Turf Moor.
The goals is regarded as the favourite to win the award. It is also nominated – for the Premier League Goal of the Month.
He faces competition from Ayoze Perez, Youri Tielemans, LCFC Women trio Shannon O’Brien, Esmee De Graaf, Sam Tierney, and development squad player Kasey McAteer.
Kelechi Iheanacho has scored league goals, same as Jamie Vardy without goals from the spot-kick.
Iheanacho will also be hoping to feature against his former club while in the form of his life. Seven goals in four games have turned his season around and reinvigorated Leicester just at the point when injuries looked like they might begin to take their toll.
