Pandemonium As Houses Of Former Deputy Governor, Two Other APC chieftains Gets Demolished

A house in Benin belonging to former Edo Deputy Governor Dr Pius Odubu was on Tuesday evening demolished by Edo Government.

Infoexpert24 gathered that the younger brother of Odubu was occupying the house as at the time of demolition.

He and his family were reportedly not allowed to remove their property before the demolition.

Also demolished were houses of Mike Etemuagbon and Prof. Julius Ihonvbere (under construction and located on Edo Osagie Avenue, GRA, Benin), who are associates of former Governor Adams Oshiomhole.

Odubu, in a statement, said: “The information came to me this (yesterday) afternoon that my property, situated at Dennis Osadebe Avenue, Benin City, has been brought down by agents of Edo State Government, on the directive of Governor Godwin Obaseki.

“My younger brother and members of his family were in the house, when it was brought down and they did not give them notice or allow them to remove any of their property, before destroying the house.”

Wife to the younger brother of the APC chieftain, Mrs. Precious Odubu, told reporters around 4 pm, she noticed some strange-looking policemen, who came into the compund through the other gate.

She said: “The way they came in, not through the main gate, i was afraid and I asked of their mission.

*They told me they wanted to demolish the house, stating that if there were children in the building, they should be brought out.

“Without even waiting for my response, they just brought in their buldozers and they started destroying the house, without allowing us to remove our property.”
