'100M Scam' - Furious Chelsea Fans Blast Mudryk As Chelsea Lose To Aston Villa At Stamford Bridge

Chelsea fans were left fuming after their defeat against Aston Villa on Saturday, April 1st, 2023.

The Blues suffered a 2-1 loss at home, and fans were quick to point out the poor performance of January signing Mykhailo Mudryk.

Mudryk, who was signed from Shakhtar Donetsk in January 2023, has failed to make an impact at Stamford Bridge since his arrival. The Ukrainian midfielder was given a rare start against Aston Villa, but he failed to impress the home fans.

However, it was the visitors who started the game better, with the in-form Ollie Watkins giving Villa the lead after just 18 minutes. The Englishman capitalized on a poor header by Chelsea left-back Marc Cucurella before expertly lobbing the ball over Kepa Arrizabalaga.

In the second half, John McGinn produced a moment of brilliance to double Villa’s lead in the 56th minute.

Although the entire Brighton team put in a sub-par performance, Mykhailo Mudryk was particularly disappointing. The £88.5 million signing started the match for Potter’s side but missed two glorious chances.

At 0-0, the Ukrainian forward snatched at a chance and sent his shot over the bar. Minutes after Villa took the lead, Mudryk found himself one-on-one with Emiliano Martinez, but he took a tame shot that the Argentine easily saved.
