Neville has made himself somewhat of an enemy with Gunners supporters in recent weeks for writing off the club’s Premier League title chances and tipping them to finish third.
The former Manchester United defender was confronted by some Arsenal fans while filming his Sky Sports podcast after Mikel Arteta’s side beat the Red Devils 3-2 at the Emirates on Sunday to go five points clear at the top with a game in hand.
Neville responded to a tweet urging him to be ‘banned from commentating on Arsenal games’ on Monday morning and felt he had been ‘fair’ in his analysis.

Neville and Carragher watched Spurs’ 1-0 victory over Fulham on Monday night and after the game, the punditry duo were asked to make a series of mid-season predictions which escalated into several heated debates between the pair.
Right at the end of the Monday Night Football show, Carragher turned to the camera and said: ‘Keep going at him, Arsenal fans! You’re really getting to him on social media. Keep going at him.’
Earlier in the programme, Carragher ridiculed Neville for naming Mikel Arteta as his mid-season Manager of the Year despite predicting them to finish third.
‘How can he be Manager of the Year if you’ve put them third?’ Carragher said after a period of laughter as Neville’s prediction appeared on the screen. ‘You think he is Manager of the Year if he finishes third?’
Neville replied: ‘The reason why he is Manager of the Year if he finishes third, second or first is because at the end of the last season I thought he was in significant trouble.’

Presenter Dave Jones jumped in and said: ‘You pretty much wrote him off on [an earlier episode of] Monday Night Football, didn’t you?’
Neville then added: ‘[Jamie Carragher] said the same by the way, let’s be clear. We both said it.’
Carragher then said: ‘The whole point of football is that you watch something happening, and you can change your view!’
Neville, though, returning to his original point, said: ‘Third, second or first… I would say that is still a great season.
‘I know Arsenal fans from this position and maybe even Mikel Arteta would say that would be disappointing – but it would be a great season. It would be.’
