Former Chelsea manager, Antonio Conte finds himself at the epicenter of swirling speculation, hinting at a potential return to the hallowed grounds of Stamford Bridge as Mauricio Pochettino‘s grip on the managerial reins grows increasingly tenuous, whispers of Conte’s resurgence in West London gather momentum.

The tempestuous tenure of Pochettino has been marred by a turbulent tide of discontent, as underwhelming performances and results cast a shadow over his debut season at Chelsea. With fervent calls for change resonating across the terraces, the prospect of a managerial reshuffle looms large.

After enjoying another successful period in Italy with Inter Milan, Conte returned to England with Tottenham and was dismissed in March last year.

Journalist Massimo Ugolini has now claimed that the 54-year-old’s return would be welcomed back with ‘great enthusiasm’ at Chelsea. “He could even return to Chelsea,” he told Canale 8.

“He would be welcomed back with great enthusiasm. Watch out for Juventus too. In this spending-review phase, it’s not as if they couldn’t afford him.”
