Lionel Messi and his friend Sergio Aguero
Messi and Aguero are very close friends despite the striker having to retire last year due to a heart problem.
Lionel Messi took time out of his preparations to join Aguero on his live stream which led to beautiful chat between two good friends.
While the whole conversation was in Spanish, Twitter account @AlbicelesteTalk has translated several clips.
Perhaps the best moment was when Aguero asked where Messi was. “OUR room,” Messi replied making reference to the fact he and Aguero used to share a room with Aguero whenever they were on international duty. This year, Messi has a room to himself but still clearly considers it Aguero’s room too.

The conversation also ended on a beautiful moment as Aguero praised the Argentine squad to which Messi replied: “We miss you and Gio [Lo Celso], you two are always present.” Aguero ended it with: “Good luck on Friday boys, whatever happens, you are phenomenons, love you.”
Papu Gomez also joined the stream for a while and was compared to David Beckham after shaving off his hair.
Messi said: “Papu aimed very high, he wanted to compare himself with Beckham.”
Aguero replied: “Papu, why don’t you get inspired by Walter Samuel’s look?”
There was also a pretty funny moment when a moment of Aguero’s crew attempted to teach Messi and Argentina players to change their camera. It led to them bursting out laughing as they couldn’t quite figure it out. We can’t really understand what’s going on but seeing Messi and the other players in hysterics is fun to watch.
It seems spirits are very high in the Argentina camp right now ahead of their quarter-final clash against the Netherlands.
