Lagos parallel market (black market dollar exchange rate today)

The local currency opened at N558.00 per $1 at the parallel market otherwise known as the black market, today, Thursday, 25 November 2021, in Lagos Nigeria after it closed N565.00 per $1 on Wednesday, 24 November 2021.

Even though the dollar to naira opened in the parallel market at ₦558 per $1 today, Infoexpert24 reports that the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) does not recognize the parallel market, otherwise known as the black market. The apex bank has therefore directed anyone who requires forex to approach their bank, insisting that the I&E window is the only known exchange.

Infoexpert24 reports that in the black market, the players buy a dollar for N555 and sell for N565 on Thursday morning, November 25, 2021, after they bought N550 and sold for N565 on Wednesday, 24 November 2021.

Meanwhile, Infoexpert24 reports that the USD started this week at ₦564 in Parallel Market also known as Black Market on Monday, November 22, 2021, in Lagos Nigeria, after it opened at  ₦541 last week Monday, November 15, 2021.
