The Secretary of the Anambra Independent Football League (AIFL), Godsent Ebuka Eriobu has been killed.
The level of killing, banditry, kidnapping and all sorts of atrocities happening in Nigeria is becoming alarming.
Infoexpert24 understands that Ebuka was killed during the attack by unknown gunmen in Eke-Agu community in Idemili North Local government area of Anambra state on Tuesday night, July 13 2021.
Confirming the incident to newsmen, the league chairman, Rev. Obinna Dike, said Eriobu was traveling in a convoy with the Chairman of Udala FC, Philip Udala, when they ran into the gunmen who fired gunshots at their vehicle.
Eriobu who doubles as the manager of Udala FC, was said to have been killed on the spot while Udala was allegedly whisked away to an unknown destination. He has not been seen nor reached on phone since the attack.
Dike said the AIFL family is mourning as Eriobu was a resourceful member of the management team.
