“This Is Criminal” – Chelsea Fans Blames Kepa For His Role In Blues Defeat By Man City

Chelsea fans have blamed Kepa Arrizabalaga following their 1-0 defeat to Manchester City on Thursday night at Stamford Bridge.

The Blues were keen to use the tie to get their campaign back on track following their woeful run of results in the Premier League.

Chelsea dropped points in their previous outing against relegation-threatened Nottingham Forest and were hoping to earn maximum points against City to boost their top-four chances.

However, the west Londoners went on to suffer defeat, with Riyad Mahrez’s second-half goal enough to earn the reigning English champions a vital win.

Some Chelsea fans now believe Kepa was responsible for their loss against Pep Guardiola’s side after the Spaniard goalkeeper dropped a clanger to allow Mahrez to score.

Mahrez, who came on as a substitute struck a perfect combination with Jack Grealish to hand City the lead in the 63rd minute.

Grealish slid a devastating first-time cross with his left foot to set up the Algerian winger for the opener, with Kepa, weirdly deciding not to dive toward it. Chelsea fans now believe the shot-stopper should have done enough to stop Grealish’s cross.
