Chelsea star Reece James dubbed ‘one of the best in the world’ can lead Mauricio Pochettino’s turnaround at Stamford Bridge after returning to full fitness, sparking hopes of a revival within the team.
James, lauded as one of the best in his position globally by his manager, recently made his first start since recovering from a hamstring injury that had sidelined him since the opening weekend of the season.
In Wednesday’s 2-0 victory over Blackburn, James showcased his prowess, leading Chelsea to a decisive win.
Pochettino’s squad, which had seemed to be getting back on track, faced a setback with a 2-0 defeat by Brentford last Saturday.

The absence of James and fellow full-back Ben Chilwell was keenly felt, as their absence deprived Chelsea of the dynamic play they typically bring to the flanks when fit.
While other players like Axel Disasi and Marc Cucurella have stepped in, none have matched James’ impact, both defensively and offensively.
James’ return could provide the much-needed boost to Pochettino’s strategy, offering a glimmer of hope for Chelsea’s future performances.
James has endured a tough 12 months – he was injured just prior to last year’s World Cup and suffered a setback upon his return in January. Remaining fully fit will give Pochettino a player he dubbed world class on Wednesday evening.
“It’s really important. It’s important that your captain stay fit and can help the team. One of the best full backs in the world,” the Chelsea boss said.
“Unlucky he only played 70 minutes against Liverpool and until now didn’t play. Little by little he will get fit and cope with the demand of the games.”

With James back in the mix, Pochettino gains a strategic advantage, similar to what he achieved during his successful stint at Tottenham. The English sensation stands out as one of Chelsea’s most effective players in delivering precision passes into perilous zones on the field.
This season, Chelsea has often ventured deep into enemy territory but faltered in the crucial final pass, leaving fans exasperated with the disjointed attacks. The lack of cohesion has hampered the forwards, making it challenging for them to make an impact during matches.
James’ seamless return to Pochettino’s lineup promises to iron out these issues. His presence could prove pivotal, filling a crucial role in the puzzle and empowering the Chelsea manager to guide his team back up the ranks of the Premier League.
