NURTW chairman MC Oluomo, has denied claims that he sent hoodlums to disrupt the ongoing peaceful End Sars protest in Alausa.
In a video making round on social media, MC Oluomo said he wasn’t the one that sent hoodlums to attack protesters in Lagos State. He also said, that he support the EndSars movement because he is a Nigerian citizen.
MC Oluomo added that he was planning on celebrating his 1 year in office today, but was surprised to see allegations online of him disrupting a protest.Watch video;
Recall that in the early hours of today, some Nigerians on Twitter alleged that hoodlums who attacked peaceful #EndSars protest in Alausa, Ikeja area of Lagos state, were hired by MC Oluomo, the leader of the Nigerian Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) Lagos chapter.
The hoodlums charged at the protesters, brandishing weapons to disperse the protesters at Alausa, Ikeja. They were said to have arrived at the protest on a bus with serial number 240171.
However, some of the Twitter users who are also calling for an end to the controversial unit of the police force, alleged that the hoodlums were sponsored by MC Oluomo.
