Recent Saka action suggests Martinelli could miss City game

Arsenal Star, Bukayo Saka has sparked a reaction among Arsenal fans after he made changes to his fantasy team which involved Brazilian star, Gabriel Martinelli.

The Nigeria-born England star sold Martinelli in his FPL team and replaced him with Manchester United star, Marcos Rashford. This move has sparked suggestions online that the Gunners’ top scorer could miss the match or be benched by Mikel Arteta.

Saka also dropped left-back, Oleksandr Zinchenko from his starting lineup, however, the Ukrainian was kept on the bench.

The England star however left himself in the starting lineup, a move which help dismissed recent rumours that the star will miss the trip to the Etihad.

Ahead of the crunch match, Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta has stated that his side will go for the win at the Etihad.

“But we knew from the beginning that City was the team to beat, probably with Liverpool, because of what those teams have done in the last six or seven years, they’ve fully deserved that credit and to be at the top. We were the ones that wanted to be closing that gap as much as we possibly could, and we are toe-to-toe with them.

“We knew we had to go to the Etihad, we know that after that they are going to have another five very difficult games. That game is going to be really important – if it’s going to define the season, the answer is no,” Arteta said.
