Premier League: Victor Moses, Conte May Reunite At Tottenham – See Reason

Former Super Eagles forward Victor Moses may reunite with Conte his former coach both at Chelsea and Inter Milan at Tottenham due to the reason below.

Infoexpert24  highlights why Victor Moses may reunite with the Italian in the near future.

Infoexpert24 reports that Conte was appointed Tottenham’s new manager following the sacking of Nuno Espírito Santo on Monday.

Here are major possible reasons why Moses could be reunited with Conte at Tottenham

1. Moses’s love for Conte:

Moses had recently described Conte as the most important manager he’s ever worked with in his career.

Moses said that the Italian football tactician and former Juventus manager left a mark on his career.

Moses told TRT World, “I have played under a lot of managers and I have loved every single one of them. The most important one was Antonio Conte. He just came in, he changed everything.”

2. Conte’s trust in Moses:

Before the arrival of Conte at Chelsea some few years back, Moses had spent three successive loan spells at Liverpool, Stoke City, and West Ham United.

Conte revived the career of the Nigerian by converting him into a wing-back as they won the Premier League title for the 2016/2017 season and the FA Cup the following season.

But after Conte left Chelsea for Inter Milan in 2019, Moses was frozen out by his successor, Maurizio Sarri, at Stamford Bridge.

The 52-year-old then signed Moses for Inter on loan from Chelsea.

According to him, he signed Moses as a replacement for right wing-back Valentino Lazaro who joined Newcastle United.

Conte had said, “On the right, you talk about Moses, but he arrived because at the same time Lazaro left.”

He added, “Both Ashley Young and Victor Moses, because they are wing-backs, don’t need quite so much guidance in training. Plus, Moses already played with me at Chelsea.”

Following the departure of Serge Aurier from Spurs to Villarreal in the summer transfer window, Tottenham now has three right-back options, Emerson Royal, 22, and Matt Doherty, 29, and Japhet Tanganga, 22.

Among the three right-backs, only Emerson has featured in Tottenham’s last three matches against Man United (0-3), Burnley (0-1), and West Ham United (1-0).

Doherty struggled during his first season, while Tanganga is a promising young defender but has had trouble staying healthy during his time with Tottenham’s first team.

However, Moses, who has been in decent form for Spartak Moscow so far, has more experience in the game compared to Emerson, Doherty, and Tanganga.

The 30-year-old has played two seasons at Spartak. During this time, he played 35 matches and scored nine goals.

In the current season, Moses has scored five goals so far. The Nigerian’s impressive form in Russia and Tottenham’s right-back struggles may tempt Conte to go for him in the January transfer window.

Meanwhile, Moses will hope to lead Spartak Moscow to victory when they take on Leicester City in a Europa League tie on Thursday night at the King Power Stadium.
