Pep Guardiola Claims Arsenal Now Suddenly Have A Problem, Will Drop Point

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has suggested that Arsenal could now struggle in the Premier League due to the UEFA Europa League.

Guardiola made this known on BBC 606 on Saturday, February 25, 2023. The Spaniard said that Arsenal are going to drop points in the coming weeks and months, adding that the Gunners playing in the UEFA Europa League knockout rounds will have an impact on them as well.

Infoexpert24 recalls that both Arsenal and Man City were in action in the Premier League on Saturday and both teams won their games.

While the Gunners beat Leicester City 1-0 away from home, defending champions City hammered Bournemouth 4-1 on the road.

Arsenal are now at the top of the Premier League table with 57 points from 24 matches. Manchester City are second with 55 points from 25 games.

While the Citizens are playing in the UEFA Champions League knockout rounds, Arsenal are involved in the UEFA Europa League.

Mikel Arteta’s side will take on Sporting Lisbon in the UEFA Europa League Round of 16.

City played out a 1-1 draw with RB Leipzig in Germany in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League Round of 16 tie this week.

Guardiola said: “Many games, still many things are going to happen.

“I know how good they are, I know we cannot drop points, but now they are starting to play Europa League as well.

“Many things are going to happen. They are going to drop points. We are going to drop points. The team who drop less points will be champions.”
