Nigerians In Darkness As National Grid Collapses Again

The Nigerian national grid has yet again collapsed causing a total blackout.

Infoexpert24 reports that the national electricity grid suffered a system collapse on Friday, making it the third within one month and has thrown Nigerian into total darkness.

Abdulazeez Abdullahi, the Head of Corporate Communications of Kaduna Electric, disclosed that the grid collapsed at about 6.29 pm on Friday.

In a statement he signed, Abdullahi assured that the power supply would be restored soon.

“Dear Esteemed Customers, the management of Kaduna Electric regrets to inform you that the current outage being experienced in our franchise States is due to a collapse of the national grid.

“The collapse occurred at about 18:29 pm this evening. The normal power supply shall be restored as soon as the grid is restored.

“We sincerely apologize for all inconveniences,” he said.

The grid first collapsed on March 14, leading to a power outage in Nigeria.

Barely 48 hours later, the grid collapsed again on March 15, resulting in a blackout.
