Nicolas Jackson Sends Clear Message on Chelsea’s Victor Osimhen Pursuit with Latest Social Media Post

Nicolas Jackson has made his feelings clear on Chelsea’s ongoing pursuit of Napoli talisman, Victor Osimhen.

The Nigerian international has been heavily linked with a move to Chelsea for a few seasons after developing into one of the most clinical strikers in the world.

The former Lille striker scored 76 goals in 133 appearances for Napoli and helped end their long wait for a Scudetto in 2023, but there has always been the feeling that he may be on the move from the Naples outfit.

And on Tuesday, it was reported by Sports journalist, David Ornstein that Napoli had been in talks to sign Romelu Lukaku, who is still on Chelsea’s books after spending the last two seasons back in Italy with Inter Milan and Roma.

The Athletic journalist claimed discussions involved the possibility of Osimhen heading into the opposite direction on loan with the option to buy.

Chelsea only acquired a new striker last season when they bought Nicolas Jackson for £32 million and handed him an eight-year deal.

He scored 14 goals in the Premier League but was guilty of missing a lot of clear-cut chances and doubts were raised about whether he was the man to fire Chelsea back into the top four.

The arrival of Osimhen would be a dent to his first-team chances but it seems as though Jackson welcomes the transfer.

On Instagram, he liked a post from 433 about Osimhen potentially joining Chelsea.

However, Osimhen’s agent Roberto Calenda has poured cold water on the reports – branding them “fantasy exchanges” and “fake news”.

“I read about ‘fantasy exchanges’ with Victor… as if he was a package to be delivered quickly,” he said.

“This package is the top scorer of the third Scudetto in the history of Napoli.

“Respect and stop fake news!”

The 24-year-old has already played in three of the ‘top five’ leagues in Europe, beginning in Germany with VfL Wolfsburg before signing for Belgian outfit Charleroi.

His sole season with Lille in Ligue 1 prompted a €70m move to Napoli in 2020, where he has since blossomed into one of the most prolific and complete strikers in Europe.
