Chelsea midfielder, N’Golo Kante has reportedly agreed to a proposal from Arsenal to join the club next season, as per a recent report.
The Frenchman has been one of the top midfielders in the Premier League since his arrival at Leicester City from Caen in 2015, and he played a pivotal role in the Foxes’ title-winning campaign that season.
At Chelsea, Kante has won two Premier League titles, the Champions League, Europa League, and the Club World Cup trophies.

However, the 32-year-old has faced injury issues this season, suffering a hamstring injury in September that required surgery the following month.
Although Kante returned to action in April and started in three of Chelsea’s last four matches, his time at Stamford Bridge may come to an end this summer as he is out of contract.
According to TodoFichajes a Spanish outlet, Arsenal’s manager Mikel Arteta has asked the club’s hierarchy to sign Kante due to his unique midfield profile compared to other Arsenal players.
The Gunners have allegedly offered Kante a two-year contract with an option for an additional year.
If Kante joins Arsenal, he would reunite with his former teammate Jorginho, who moved to the Emirates Stadium from Chelsea in January.

Interestingly, Arsenal’s interest in Kante goes back to his days at Leicester, as confirmed by former Gunner’s negotiator Dick Law, who revealed that the club pulled out of the transfer due to exorbitant agent fees, allowing Chelsea to sign him.
While reports suggest that Kante has agreed to Arsenal’s proposal, nothing is official yet, and it remains to be seen if he will continue his successful Premier League career in North London.
Despite the report from Spain, Kante’s move to Arsenal is far from a done deal. Although the player is said to have accepted the proposal by the Gunners, Mikel Arteta may yet opt for another player in midfield over Kante – while Kante himself could yet turn the Gunners down for another club.
The 32-year-old is valued at €20 million by Transfermarkt.
