NBC Revokes Licenses, Shuts down Silverbird, AIT, Others – See Reason

The National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) on Friday canceled the broadcast licenses of Silverbird television, Rhythm FM, Africa Independent Television (AIT), Raypower FM, and other media houses.

Infoexpert24 learned that authorities took this action due to the failure of the 52 media houses to renew their broadcast licenses.

Mallam Balarabe Shehu, the Director General (DG) of the NBC, also directed its state offices to work with security operatives to ensure that the stations are shut down within the next 24 hours.

Other affected stations include Greetings FM (Greetings Media Ltd), Tao FM (Ovidi Communications Ltd), Zuma FM (Zuma FM Ltd), Crowther FM (Crowther Communications Ltd), WE FM (Kings Broadcasting Ltd), Linksman International ltd, Bomay Broadcasting Services Itd, MITV (Murhi International Group Ltd), Classic FM.
