Manchester United’s poor run of form continued after the international break at the weekend, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side suffering a 4-2 defeat against Leicester City on Saturday afternoon.
United Reds have won just one game across their last five fixtures – that win was thanks to Cristiano Ronaldo’s late goal against Villarreal – and external pressure is now building on Solskjaer, who was undoubtedly backed in the transfer market this summer.

United have an opportunity to bounce back from that Leicester defeat against Atalanta, though, as they look to get the second win of their Champions League campaign when welcoming Gian Piero Gasperini’s side to Manchester.
Solskjaer spoke to the media on Tuesday and gave an update regarding United’s team news for the game.
“Anthony joined in training today but he’s still not fit enough to join us [for the match]. Harry’s not had any reaction so he’s fine and good to go. We didn’t lose anyone else from the game through injury at the weekend,” Solskjaer said.
Manchester United: confirmed lineup
David de Gea; Victor Lindelöf, Harry Maguire (C), Cristiano Ronaldo, Marcus Rashford, Mason Greenwood, Fred Rodriguez, Bruno Fernandes, Luke Shaw, Aaron Wan-Bissaka & Scott McTominay.
Atalanta: confirmed lineup
Juan Musso; Joakim Mæhle, José Luis Palomino, Teun Koopmeiners, Luis Muriel, Remo Freuler (C), Marten de Roon, Merih Demiral, Josip Iličić, Davide Zappacosta & Mario Pašalić.
On the other hand, the Italian team led by Gian Piero Gasperini has done a good job, so much so that it is the undefeated leader of the group with 4 points, after a win and a draw; it has scored three goals and conceded two.
