Moises Caicedo To Arsenal, Real Madrid Want Saka, Chelsea Back For Fernandez & Other Transfer News Of The Day

Infoexpert24 rounds up the latest transfer news, gossip, and rumors making rounds in the world of football today Friday 27th January 2023.

Arsenal bid for Moises Caicedo

It didn’t take long, having made the value of £75m clear this window, Brighton has swiftly rejected the £60m bid.

David Ornstein wrote: “Brighton & Hove Albion have rejected a bid of £60m fixed from Arsenal for Moises Caicedo. #AFC targeting Ecuador int’l [international] to strengthen midfield + interest remains, despite #BHAFC insisting 21yo [year-old] is not for sale.”

New Arsenal bid

According to Fabrizio Romano, the Gunners have made a late swoop to sign Caicedo this month. Arteta’s men are after a midfielder following their failure to get one at the end of the summer window.

Romano writes: “Arsenal have submitted £60m bid to sign Moises Caicedo as new midfielder. Chelsea had £55m verbal proposal rejected this January as Brighton hope to keep the player — but Arsenal are now pushing. Negotiations enter into key stages for Caicedo’s future.”

Caicedo admission

In a recent interview, Caicedo himself delivered an update on his future where he insists his current focus is only on Brighton.

Speaking to the Brighton’s official club website, he said: “I am here, I’m playing every day. Things from outside don’t trouble me, nor does it take that focus away because I’m focused only on here,” he said. “I handle [the speculation] well.

“You hear rumours here and there, but I only try to be focused on the club where I am now, the club which opened the doors for me to be playing every week.”

Real Madrid wants to lure Saka away from Emirates stadium

Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has asked the club to lure Bukayo Saka away from Arsenal, with the 21-year-old still yet to extend his contract at the Emirates.

The boss has also asked to sign Juventus midfielder Manuel Locatelli, and Real Madrid could offer Dani Ceballos in exchange for the Italy international.

Manchester United want to sign Napoli striker Victor Osimhen in the summer and have been informed that it will cost them a cool €120m to do so.

Chelsea are ready to return to Benfica with a new bid for midfielder Enzo Fernandez. The Blues are expected to offer £88m in cash and ‘a couple of players’ on top in an attempt to finally seal the deal.

Having hit a wall in their pursuit of Lyon’s Malo Gusto, Chelsea could reignite their interest in £35m-rated Inter right-back Denzel Dumfries, who is also attracting interest from both Manchester United and Newcastle.

Dumfries‘ agent, Rafaela Pimenta, has flown to England to discuss the Dutchman’s future.

Arsenal have been told that they will have to trigger Martin Zubimendi‘s €60m release clause if they want to sign the 23-year-old Real Sociedad midfielder this month.

In their search for midfield reinforcements, both Arsenal and Chelsea have asked about RB Leipzig’s Dani Olmo. The Spain international is thought to have a €60m release clause in his contract which only applies to La Liga sides.

Inter have made Liverpool striker Roberto Firmino their top priority to replace Chelsea-owned Romelu Lukaku in the summer.

Paris Saint-Germain have been offered the chance to sign Zenit Saint-Petersburg winger Malcom this month.

Barcelona have reignited their interest in Manchester City defender Joao Cancelo, who could leave the Etihad in 2023 after falling out of favour under Pep Guardiola.

Bayern Munich know their chances of signing Harry Kane from Tottenham are very slim but they will not sign a striker for the sake of it and could opt to begin the 2023/24 season with Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting as their starting striker.

Ligue 1 side Nice have asked about signing Davinson Sanchez from Tottenham this month but the Colombia international does not want to leave.
