While on international duty with Norway, Odegaard was questioned about his future plans. Prior to Tuesday’s Euro 2024 qualifier against Georgia, he spoke to Nettavisen, saying, “I don’t have much to say, apart from the fact that I am very happy at Arsenal. I hope I can be there for a long time. Beyond that, I have no comment right now. Now, it is the national team that is in focus.”

In the crucial qualifier, Martin Odegaard demonstrated his commitment to his national team by scoring a goal just eight minutes after Erling Haaland’s opener, helping Norway secure a 2-1 victory over Georgia.

Odegaard’s Arsenal journey began with a loan deal from Real Sociedad in January 2021, eventually becoming a permanent transfer during the following summer transfer window.

Since arriving in North London, the Norwegian midfielder has become a cornerstone of Mikel Arteta’s squad, culminating in his appointment as captain for the 2022-23 season.
