Chelsea manager, Thomas Tuchel, has claimed a lot of clubs are jealous of his team despite their recent defeats by Arsenal and Leicester City, respectively.
The German said this during his pre-match press conference on Monday ahead of Chelsea’s Premier League against Leicester City on Tuesday night at Stamford Bridge.
Recall that Chelsea was defeated 1-0 by Arsenal in the Premier League last week and also lost by the same scoreline against Leicester in the FA Cup final over the weekend.
Chelsea are currently in 4th place in the Premier League table with 64 points in 36 games.
“If you have a group that arrives in this final, arrives in the Champions League final and in place nine or ten for top four, there’s no reason to doubt we are not strong enough to handle this situation,” Tuchel said.
“Strong enough to arrive here, strong enough to handle the situation. That’s the challenge.”
He added, “Is it easy? No. It’s fun because this is what it is about [getting positive results in the next three games]. There are a lot of teams out there jealous of our situation, I can tell you.”
After the Leicester City game on Tuesday, Chelsea will clash with Aston Villa on Sunday before facing Manchester City in the Champions League final on May 29.
