Manchester United‘s hierarchy has given the go-ahead for an £80 million bid to acquire Tottenham striker, Harry Kane, in the upcoming summer transfer window.
United’s head coach, Erik ten Hag, is keen on improving the team’s attacking options and has prioritized the acquisition of a new striker.
Although Napoli’s Victor Osimhen, who has scored 21 goals in Serie A this season, is also on United’s radar, Ten Hag has made Kane his primary target.
According to the Daily Star, United’s CEO Richard Arnold has approved the offer and is eager to finalize the deal as soon as possible.

The club is expected to commence negotiations with Tottenham before the end of the season.
Ten Hag is convinced that Kane’s signing will make United strong contenders for the Premier League title next season.
Kane recently scored in England’s 2-0 win over Ukraine, and following the game, former Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard commented that the Tottenham striker has arrived at a crucial point in his career.

‘He’s got a big decision to make career-wise,’ Gerrard said.
‘I’ve been there myself, where you’re thinking ‘is my team good enough to get me the medals? Am I going to get out of my career what I want to get?’.
‘It’s different for me. I knew winning one trophy more with Liverpool would have meant a lot more to me than being anywhere else.
‘He’s [Kane] got a big decision to make. I can’t give him any advice on that but I bet you every single day of his life now moving forward, it’s going to be on his mind.’
