Ibadan Top Politician Fatai, Shot Dead

A former House of Representatives Candidate Dr. Fatai Aborode has been reportedly shot dead by unknown gunmen in the Igangan area of Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.

Infoexpert24 reports that the Dr. Aborode who was said to have been shot dead near his farm, which is situated along Apodun Village, in Igangan Ibarapa North West Local Council Development Authority part of Oyo State on Friday was reported to have visited his farm alongside his manager before the sad occurrence.

Fatai, a politician cum farmer, was gathered to have been shot dead by unknown gunmen suspected to be a Fulani herdsmen while leaving his farm premises at around 4pm with his manager on a motorbike.

“He was attacked by the hoodlums on his farm, he was macheted severally and died while being rushed to a nearby hospital, he went to farm with one person on a bike, and on their way coming from farm they met the Fulani men, the other person escaped.” The source stressed.

Dr. Fatai’s manager was said to have escaped gunshots and fled away from the scene of the incident.

He gave up the ghost in between Tapa and Aiyete community while being rushed to an hospital in Igboora, in a process to save his life from the injuries sustained from the attack of the hoodlums.
