Europa League: 3 Things To Look Out For In FK Bodø/Glimt vs Arsenal Clash

Infoexpert24 presents you with 3 things to look out for as Arsenal battle FK Bodø/Glimt in the Europa League groupe Group A fixtures this evening off the back of their impressive 3-2 win over Liverpool.

The games are now coming thick and fast for Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal. In a month that will see them play nine games, the Gunners, so far, have won all three. This next one, though, will be a rather tricky affair.

Despite Arsenal defeating FK Bodø/Glimt 3-0 last week, the visitors were good value for the most part. Two quick-fire goals from Eddie Nketiah and Rob Holding saw Arsenal jump out to a 2-0 lead in under 30 minutes.

But after that, the visitors more than held their own and forced Mikel Arteta to bring on Gabriel Jesus, Bukayo Saka, and Martin Odegaard to wrestle back momentum.

FK Bodø/Glimt got over their loss to Arsenal by trouncing Sandefjord 4-1 as they sit second in the Norwegian league, 15 points behind Molde.

This away clash for Arsenal has danger signs written all over it. Here are three things to look for.

1. How the team responds to the environment

The conditions that Arsenal will face tonight will be challenging. Aside from the raucous home crowd and the fact that FK Bodø/Glimt played well at the Emirates, is the cold weather.

From the centre of the town, it is just 90km from the centre of the Arctic Circle, so the temperature will no doubt be rather cold. How the players fare in these challenging conditions will go a long way to determining the result.

2. Can Arsenal take advantage of Group A?

Arsenal currently sits two points clear at the top of Group A after winning both of their group-stage games. A win on Thursday will all but guarantee passage into the next phase of the competition.

Depending on what PSV and FC Zurich do, the Gunners could be four points clear of the rest of the group with a win.

3. Can Nketiah keep his goalscoring run going?

Arsenal’s new number 14 has seen his Premier League game time diminish from last season, as he has been a used substitute in every game. But in the Europa League, the 23-year-old has started both encounters.

In those two games, Nketiah scored in each fixture while grabbing an assist on the opening match day against FC Zurich.

Can Nketiah make it three from three today? His team will need him to be on the score sheet yet again if they are to pull out a win in a challenging environment.
