Nollywood actor Clem Ohameze attacked in Uyo by hoodlums, robbed and injured (Photos)

Nollywood actor, Clem Ohameze was attacked by hoodlums on Thursday October 22.

A Twitter user who shared photos of the injured actor, revealed that he was also robbed of his phone and money in the attack which occurred in Uyo, Akwa Ibom state’s capital.

Clem Ohameze is a popular Nigerian actor, director, producer, investor, politician, and philanthropist. He was born on June 27, 1965, in Port Harcourt, Rivers, Nigeria.

Early Life and Education

Clem Ohameze was born on June 27, 1965. He is a native of Oguta in Imo State in the south-eastern part of Nigeria but grew up in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria.

He attended Holy Family College/ Baptist High School; Institute of Management Technology, Enugu, Nigeria where he secured an Ordinary National Diploma in Mass Communication; and the University of Port Harcourt where he graduated with a BSc in Sociology and Anthropology in 1989. He also studied at Buckingham University, London in 2010, and obtained a Masters in Preventive and Social Medicine.

Career

Clem Ohameze started professional acting in 1995 and rose to fame in 1998 after starring in Nollywood movie “End Time” He has acted in over 250 movies which include A Cry for Help, End Time, Thanksgiving, My Sister My Love, Billionaire Club, etc.

In 2007, he joined politics and contested to represent Ohaji-Egbema-Oguta Federal Constituency in Nigeria. He joined the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and contested for Member of Federal House of Representatives in 2007.

He has since returned to his movie career after the break. In 2010, Ohameze starred in the award-winning movie Ije: The Journey alongside Genevieve Nnaji and Omotola Jalade Ekeinde.

He has won several African Movie Awards such as the most prominent actor in Nigeria at Africa Movie Academy Awards.
