Chelsea Star N’Golo Kante Set To Join Cristiano Ronaldo At Al Nassr

Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante is being targeted by Saudi Arabian club, Al-Nassr according to stunning reports.

According to reports in France, Al-Nassr have now expressed an interest in also signing the Chelsea midfielder in what would be a further statement of intent. Foot Mercato and Get French Football News both claim Al-Nassr want Kante on a free transfer when his Chelsea contract expires.

Cristiano Ronaldo is expected to sign a huge contract to move to Al Nassr in Saudi Arabia after leaving Manchester United, and there are reports that he could be joined by Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante.

The 31-year-old French international is out of contract at the end of the season and could move on a free transfer in search of a new challenge despite wanting to stay in London.

Kante has been one of Chelsea’s most consistent and effective players since his arrival from Leicester City, but he is no longer reliably fit, having played just twice for his club this season and missing the World Cup in Qatar.

Playing in Saudi Arabia would be much less taxing on his body and offer him a huge payday in what would likely be his last few years of professional football.

Despite looking to find another Champions League club, the Portuguese international has found a shortage of options and is now reported to be closing in on a move to the Middle East.

The big-money move to Al-Nassr, if completed, would see the former Manchester United forward land a huge, £175m-a-year deal which would only increase when he moves into an ambassadorial role after his playing career is over.

It is a lucrative move, and one which could be made even more appealing by the prospect of being joined by Kante in the summer.

It is claimed Kante is attached to London and would love to stay in the city if Chelsea do not offer him a new deal. However, he is not specifically against a move to Al-Nassr as he looks to keep his options open.

The midfielder has endured a miserable season at Chelsea plagued by injury issues, prompting France legend Frank Lebouef to claim he should consider retirement earlier this week.

The 31-year-old has also been linked with a move to Barcelona in the summer transfer window. Barca are looking for reinforcement in midfield and are targeting free agents due to their financial woes.
