kANTE and Fofana
Wesley Fofana left Stamford Bridge on crutches on Wednesday night, much to the concern of Chelsea boss Graham Potter.
Wesley Fofana was injured in the first-half against AC Milan
The young center-back endured mixed fortunes as Chelsea defeated AC Milan 3-0 in the Champions League. He was on hand to open the scoring in the first half as he prodded home his first goal for the Blues since his big-money switch from Leicester City.
He was then spotted leaving Stamford Bridge after the game on a pair of crutches, wearing a knee brace. Following the final whistle, Blues boss Potter suggested that he does not yet know the severity of the injury but is worried.

Speaking in his post-match press conference, he said: “We don’t know the extent yet, that’s the one disappointing thing about the evening.
It seems as if N’Golo Kante is still far from match fitness after being left out of the squad to feature against the Italian giants. Though the likes of Jorginho and Kai Havertz look ready to start again for Potter – but that could be hard to come by following the rich form of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Raheem Sterling.
Chelsea released eagerly-anticipated footage of Kante in training ahead of the Palace clash. But, the Frenchman did not travel to Selhurst Park as the midfielder nears a return to competitive action.
From the look of things, Kante is still not match-ready after missing the game against Milan. Despite being considered a key player at Stamford Bridge, Kante is out of contract at the end of the season and will be able to negotiate a free transfer in January. It’s believed that fitness issues have not deterred potential suitors like PSG.
