The ageless Brazilian hobbled off and was replaced by Wesley Fofana after a collision with Spurs hitman Harry Kane. Silva slid in to poke the ball away from Kane after he slithered his way past Reece James in the penalty area.
But as the former Paris Saint-Germain defender nipped in, his momentum caused Kane to fall on top of him. And as Silva slowly trudged off the pitch, the confidence of Chelsea fans appeared to follow him off the pitch.
“Thiago Silva getting injured lol things are going from bad to worse,” one fan said on social media. “If Thiago Silva gets injured i genuinely think we will get relegated,” another very concerned supporter added.

“Thiago Silva can have my knee,” commented another supporter who is evidently willing to do whatever it takes to keep Silva fit. “Thiago Silva leaving makes me cry,” tweeted a particularly emotional supporter.
“The last thing we need is a Thiago Silva injury man,” wrote one other supporter before another added, “Thiago Silva injured, I want to cry.”
