Chelsea is reportedly planning ambitious moves for two midfielders, Moises Caicedo and Manuel Ugarte, in a potential £132 million splurge.
Brighton has placed an £80m price tag on Caicedo, who is also on Arsenal’s radar after almost joining the Gunners in January.
Sporting Lisbon’s Ugarte is another target for Chelsea, with a £52m release clause in his contract, as reported by the Guardian.

If Chelsea successfully secures both players, it would contribute to the club’s significant spending spree under co-owner Todd Boehly, surpassing £600m since his arrival last summer.
However, Chelsea is facing potential Financial Fair Play concerns and may need to offload several players as part of a squad rebuild.
Mason Mount’s future has come under speculation, with strong links to a move to Manchester United amid contract disputes with his current club.

Chelsea is said to be demanding £80m for Mount, which could fund the pursuit of Caicedo if United agrees to pay the fee.
However, Arsenal remains a competitive contender in the race to sign Caicedo, as the player’s agent recently praised the Gunners as a “great club.”
Brighton’s interest in signing Chelsea’s Levi Colwill could potentially aid negotiations for Caicedo’s transfer to Stamford Bridge.
