BREAKING: Kano Governor, Ganduje Orders All political Appointees To Resign

Kano State, Governor, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has ordered all political appointees running for elective offices in the forthcoming 2023 general elections to resign from their respective positions.

Infoexpert24 reports that the directive states, “They are given between now to Monday, 18th April 2022, to resign.”

This is in compliance with Section 84 (12) of the newly amended Electoral Act.

Some Commissioners, Special Advisers, and even the Secretary to the State Government are all running for various elective offices.

Already, reports have it that tension has gripped many of those going out of the Government, with full uncertainty on what would happen in the general elections.
