BREAKING: Gunmen Assassinate Former PDP Chairman [PHOTO]

A former PDP Chairman in Akwa Ibom State, Sylvester Ntefre has been killed by some unknown gunmen.

Infoexpert24 learned that the incident happened at the slain politician’s hometown in Ekparakwa, OrukAnam Local Government Area (LGA) of Akwa Ibom State.

The assailants who came in a black jeep reportedly invaded Ntefre residence on Sunday morning. They dragged him out and escaped with him to the bush and killed him there.

The motive for their action is not yet clear, but political assassinations are not strange in Nigeria. Likewise, the country has been generally grappling with insecurity in the past few years.

Political analysts and security experts warn that as Nigeria is heading towards another election in 2023, the tendency for a rise in political assassination is very high.

The winner takes all tendencies in Nigeria’s elections increase the desperation of politicians to go all out and kill opponents.
