Arsenal, Manchester City charged by FA
Arsenal and Manchester City have both been charged by FA with failing to ensure that their players conducted themselves in an orderly fashion during Wednesday’s Premier League clash at the Emirates.
The two title favorites went head-to-head in a feisty affair at the Emirates Stadium on Wednesday that threatened to boil over on multiple occasions.
Both sets of players approached the referee several times throughout the game, which was filled with contentious decisions.

And both sides have now been charged, having failed to ensure their players conducted themselves in an orderly fashion when surrounding the match official.
Arsenal were charged for surrounding the referee when he awarded a penalty against Gabriel Magalhaes for a foul on Erling Haaland in the second-half. The decision by Taylor, which included giving Gabriel a yellow card, was then overturned by VAR.
Meanwhile City, who secured a monumental 3-1 victory on the night, have been charged for two separate incidents.

The first came in the 42nd minute, when referee Anthony Taylor gave a penalty against Ederson after the goalkeeper tripped up Eddie Nketiah, who had already got his shot away – a decision that stood, with Bukayo Saka converting from the spot.
The reigning champions have also been charged for an incident in the 64th minute, when City players fumed that Nketiah did not receive more than a yellow card for a high challenge on defender Ruben Dias. Both clubs have until Tuesday, February 21 to provide their response.
