BREAKING: Antonio Conte Sacked By Tottenham

Antonio Conte has been sacked by Tottenham Hotspur.

The announcement was made by the club’s chairman, Daniel Levy, on Sunday night. Cristian Stellini has been appointed as the acting head coach for the rest of the season, with Ryan Mason as his assistant.

The decision to remove Conte comes after a disappointing run of results, including a recent 3-2 defeat to Southampton, where Spurs threw away a 3-1 lead.

Levy announced his decision on Sunday night. He said, “We have 10 Premier League games remaining and we have a fight on our hands for a Champions League place.

We all need to pull together. Everyone has to step up to ensure the highest possible finish for our Club and amazing, loyal supporters.”BB

Conte’s post-match comments, where he criticized his players and suggested there was a “rotten culture” at the club, were perceived to be a key factor in his departure.

Levy stressed the importance of finishing the season strongly and securing a Champions League place.

Tottenham currently sit in fourth place in the Premier League, two points ahead of fifth-placed Newcastle United with two games in hand.

Conte’s departure comes as a blow to Spurs, who were hoping the Italian could lead them to silverware.

Tottenham will end the season without a major honour after crashing out of the FA Cup to Championship side Sheffield United in the last 16. They have not won a trophy since their League Cup success in 2008.
