Boko Haram Leader Shekau Issues New Threat, Gives Reason For Killing Farmers In Borno

Boko Haram leader Abubakar Shekau has issued new threat and gives reason for killing local farmers in Borno.

Infoexpert24 reports that Shekau has revealed why they killed the farmers, according to the video obtained by HumAngle. He stated that they carried out the attack beacuse the local farmers collaborated with the Nigerian army.

According to Shekau, some of the farmers arrested some boko haram members and handed them to the Nigerian military.

“You think you can arrest our brother and hand him to soldiers and live in peace.

“You think Allah will forget what you have done to our brother.

The Boko haram leader warned that the same fate will behold those in collaboration with the army if they don’t repent.

“This message is for those who notoriously nab our brethren and hand them to the military or give them a clue on us.

“You should know that, unless you repent, what happened to your people is awaiting you,” a masked commander of the group warned in the video.

Recall that dozens of the local farmers and fishermen were killed on Saturday in a suspected attack by Boko Haram extremists. The attack was staged in a rice field in Garin Kwashebe, a Borno community known for rice farming.
