Arsenal To Rival Newcastle, And Liverpool For Samuel Chukwueze Signature

Newcastle United’s pursuit of Villarreal winger Samuel Chukwueze this summer has attracted attention from several Premier League clubs, including Arsenal, Liverpool, West Ham, and Aston Villa according to reports.

Chukwueze, widely regarded as one of LaLiga’s most promising young attackers has garnered significant interest posing a challenge for Newcastle to secure his signature.

Currently sitting in a remarkable third place in the Premier League table and on track to qualify for the Champions League, Newcastle is keen to bolster their squad in the upcoming transfer window. Chukwueze has emerged as one of their primary targets.

Sources suggest that Eddie Howe and Dan Ashworth are actively pursuing the Nigerian international, who has made 46 appearances across all competitions this season, scoring 13 goals and providing 11 assists.

Chukwueze‘s versatility, able to play on either flank as a winger or even as a center-forward, adds to his appeal as a potential solution for Newcastle’s need for depth in multiple positions.

According to Estadio Deportivo, Newcastle sees Samuel Chukwueze as a viable replacement for Allan Saint-Maximin, who has been linked with a potential departure.

Despite Howe’s admiration for Saint-Maximin, the 26-year-old winger has seen limited game time this season, making just 10 starts in the Premier League compared to 31 in the previous campaign.

Chukwueze’s contract with Villarreal is set to expire in 2024, and the Spanish club is likely to offload him to avoid losing him on a free transfer.

It remains to be seen whether Newcastle can outmaneuver their Premier League rivals and secure Chukwueze’s services.

Estadio Deportivo do not state Chukwueze’s price tag. However, Transfermarkt value the Nigerian at approximately £20m, so it’s likely Newcastle would have to match that fee to get a deal done.

The question, however, is whether or not they can beat the competition to his signature, with four other Premier League clubs in the race.
