In a potential coup for Arsenal, the Gunners are reportedly on the brink of securing the signing of Kai Havertz from Chelsea, as Bayern Munich’s late attempts to intervene appear to have fallen short, according to reports from Germany.
Arsenal have submitted a bid of around £60million to sign Chelsea star Kai Havertz after agreeing personal terms with the German.
The Gunners had an opening bid of around £45m rejected by Chelsea, but there’s optimism on both sides that an agreement can be reached.

Meanwhile, according to Sky Germany, Bayern Munich made a recent approach to Havertz to express their interest in acquiring his services.
However, the Bundesliga champions were informed that Arsenal had made significant progress in their pursuit of the player, rendering Bayern’s approach ‘too late’. Furthermore, Havertz’s reported preference is to continue playing in the Premier League, adding to the complications for Bayern.

The report suggests that Bayern Munich has not made a formal offer for Havertz, and their chances of signing the Chelsea forward this summer would likely require Arsenal to withdraw their interest in him.
While the negotiations for Havertz are underway, Arsenal is also in discussions with West Ham United regarding a potential deal for Declan Rice.
West Ham recently rejected Arsenal’s £80 million bid for the talented English midfielder. The Hammers are holding out for a transfer fee in the region of £100 million, further complicating the potential move.
It is understood that Rice himself favors a move to Arsenal over other suitors such as Manchester United and Chelsea, although Manchester City is also considering a possible transfer for the player during this summer window.
