BREAKING: Akwa Ibom PDP Chairman, Ekpenyong Reportedly Dies From COVID-19

The Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Akwa Ibom State chapter, Mr. Udo Ekpenyong is reportedly dead.

Infoexpert24 reports that a  family source disclosed that the Akwa Ibom  PDP party chairman died early hours of Tuesday in Uyo due to COVID-19 complications.

The late Chairman and former Commissioner of Local Government and Chieftain Affairs in the State was elected as the PDP State Chairman less than one year ago.

The news of Ekpenyong’s death is coming more than a week after the state lost former Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Chief Marshall Nsikak Eduok.

He was said to have died on Wednesday night, January 6, in a hospital where he was undergoing treatment for an undisclosed ailment. He was aged 73.

The Akwa Ibom-born retired officer was reputed to be one of the best-trained combat pilots the Nigerian Air Force has produced.
