Super Eagles Captain Ahmed Musa Reveals Why He Returned To Kano Pillars

Super Eagles captain, Ahmed Musa has revealed why he decided to rejoin Nigeria Professional Football League side, Kano Pillars after years of playing abroad.

Kano Pillars had earlier confirmed that the Nigerian international had rejoined the club and will be playing for the team until the end of the season.

Infoexpert24 gathered that the clause in the agreement signed by Musa permits him to leave the club when and if he can find a club in Europe.

Musa rejoined his former club to boost the image of the league and help maintain his fitness as he continues his search for a European club.

The 28-year-old, who is a free agent since leaving Saudi Arabian side Al Nassr in October, had received offers from England, Russia and Turkey.

Speaking on the move, the former Leicester, CSKA forward, told BBC Sport Africa, “Anything that improves the image of Nigerian football is something that I strive to embark on and Kano Pillars holds a special place in my heart.”
