Fringe Players Facing the Chop: Man Utd Trio Set to Leave After Ten Hag's Exile
Erik ten Hag has shown his ruthless side during his first year as Manchester United manager, as Cristiano Ronaldo discovered when his contract was terminated just months into the Dutchman’s reign.
Now, several fringe players could finally be on their way out of the club.
At the start of the season, Ten Hag reportedly axed five members of the squad to avoid a bloated side, as the changing room at Carrington can only accommodate a maximum of 24 players.

Phil Jones, Brandon Williams, Axel Tuanzebe, Shola Shoretire, and Tegen Mendi were all banished from the first team.
While some of them left on loan throughout the season, Jones, Williams, and Tuanzebe are now set to leave on a permanent basis at the end of the season.
Jones, who was highly regarded under Sir Alex Ferguson, has struggled with injuries and is unlikely to be handed a new contract, leaving as a free agent.
Williams, a versatile defender, has only been awarded four minutes of football this season in the Carabao Cup and is also out of contract.

Tuanzebe, who has shown promise at Premier League level, has had his opportunities limited by injuries and could also depart as a free agent.
Ten Hag needs to make room on the wage bill for potential big-name summer signings, amid ambiguity over the Glazers’ potential takeover. As a result, the three players previously banished by the Dutchman could make way at the end of the season.
